POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist supports the HR Business Partner in delivery of all aspects of HR within a client area (may be a business unit, corporate function or region). This includes the onboarding, offboarding, HR projects and initiatives and day-to-day administration of HR policies and procedures. The Generalist coordinates with HR Business Partners regarding related functional and business organizational requirements.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of HR policies and processes including the onboarding, offboarding, and general administration duties that occur throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Updates and maintains HR systems, records, and reports with accurate employee data;
  • Ensures that the end-to-end HR process supports a positive employee experience at all times.
  • Prepares, reviews, audits and/ or processes HR related information, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment law, internal process and program requirements;
  • Handles routine day to day issues, raising unusual or sensitive issues to manager for direction in follow up.
  • Interacts and coordinates with employees, managers, or with other departments as needed to resolve problems.

 

  • Assists and advises employees and managers regarding various routine HR procedures and policies.
  • Monitors key HR metrics and provides reports and updates as requested.
  • Produces standard and ad-hoc HR reports, summaries, audits and presentations and may do research and provide ad hoc analysis.
  • Maintains and updates various spreadsheets, files and databases.
  • Responsible for more complex, though routine in nature, assignments.
  • Assigned special projects requiring research and knowledge gathering on HR related topics, guidelines, practices, and data issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 Years of solid HR experience. Preferably in the Financial industry.  Start up company experience a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of HR disciplines; Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Total Rewards and HR OPS
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Experience with various HRIS systems, resources and tools.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Google suite skills required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability and experience communicating with leadership is a strong plus.
