What a SAR QA Analyst does:


  • Review completed Suspicious Activity Reports prior to filing
  • Provide quality scoring for all SAR filers within the Financial Crimes Unit to determine if work product demonstrates an understanding of FinCEN filing requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of BSA SAR requirements for money services businesses and serve as SME
  • Document the QA review process and results
  • Provide as-needed support and guidance for SAR writing for all FinCEN categories
  • Support Financial Crime, SAR Manager in efforts to provide analysis of SAR data
  • Support Compliance management as need during audits or regulatory examinations


What is Needed for the Role:


  • 2+ years of experience writing Suspicious Activity Reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related discipline, or CFE certification and 2 years of investigative experience; or a CAMS certification and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with basic data analysis techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide critical feedback
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, and strong attention to detail


What would also be good:


  • CFE certification or CAMS certification;
  • Legal or law enforcement experience.
